Case Study

JL Auto Electrical

James Leembruggen, owner/operator of JL Auto Electrical made the leap to start running his own workshop at Hornsby in Sydney’s upper north shore. 12 months later, his business is thriving.

As with all new ventures, there was a lot to get established so while he concentrated on drumming up business, Sentiment Media looked after the rest.

Logo Concept

First, we worked together forming a strong logo concept that spoke to his brand personality and key business function. James wanted an emblem style logo that could be printed on shirts and other apparel, as well as working as a service sticker etc.

To give some extra oomph, we decided on a nice vibrant indigo blue which worked well as an accent colour around a carbon fibre inspired secondary colour palette.

Website

James wanted a simple, scrollable website which could be easily navigable on any device. The objectives were to outline his major services, give the location of his workshop and an easy way for people to get in contact via the website to book a service.

We agreed on the best URL for the website and set up a dedicated email address connected to the contact form.

Marketing Material

In addition to social media, James needed a flyer to market in the local area, as well as business cards. We incorporated the brand feel into all these elements to continue the customer experience right from the initial touch point.

Social Media

Social media is an important part of a business’ marketing tool kit. We got James set up with collateral for his facebook page and instagram pages. We even made some social post templates for special promotions that could be customised with Canva.

Uniform / Merchandise

We arranged quotes from various workwear embroiders to incorporate James’ logo into a range of clothing items including caps, shirts, hoodies, polos, overalls and more. These not only would work as a company uniform, but some items would be used as free giveaways to help get the brand out there in the form of a moving billboard.

Shopfront Signage

We also arranged signage for the workshop and a rough mock up of the place done out in the colours of the brand, completing the visual journey from initial touch point, the arrival at the workshop door.

We’re happy to say James has been absolutely killing it for a new business. We are so glad to be able to offer our assistance to his start up experience.

By the way, if you are ever in need of a great auto electrician or mechanic and happen to live on the north shore of Sydney, we can’t recommend James enough.

His success is testimony to the quality of his work.
